Overcoming Fear of Self-Expression
Hi Everyone ! welcome to very first SNS solo session English version :) I am Kepisia In this solo episode, I dive deep into a journey that many of us face – the fear of expressing ourselves openly and authentically. I share my personal story of how I discovered that my greatest fear, engaging in meaningful conversations with others, turned into my greatest passion. I reflect on the moment when I began to hold back and stopped being courageous in expressing my true self, understanding how this often stems from a single event that builds a false belief about ourselves and the world around us. Through this episode, I aim to uncover how societal and generational traumas have impacted our ability to speak up and share our voices, particularly in the Polish context, where historical events have deeply ingrained fear into our nervous systems.
I knew that thanks to this tool I would step into my full power and learn a lot about myself, about people, about the world and most importantly about how I deal with internal
Fears and concerns. And what I would like to improve, what makes me not fully the person I want to be. And the truth is overcoming my fear and stepping out to people with something in my head saying what do you even have to say is one of the first major challenges I faced regarding confronting my fears. Period in my life when I feel like I'm doing the most work in terms of myself and my potential is actually now. And this challenge asks me many questions about lies and beliefs about myself, about what I think about the world and about myself.
Co mnie w zasadzie blokuje? And when I really, like really, really, when I looked deep within, I discovered a pivotal moment. Ok, here I can also tell you where my fears started and why it was so hard for me to express myself fully at first. That is good, I can say it in English because no one in my family except Justina understands English. That's great. Ok, teraz trochę o sobie. Byłam bardzo ekspresywną dzieckiem. Musiałam być wszędzie i kochałam grać w szkołach, w księgach, w teatrach i otrzymać długie i największe rolniki.
It was my first song which I wrote with my cousin Justyna about green pants. So yeah, don't ask what it was about exactly, but for a seven year old it would have been a hit.
I pretenderowałam, żeby ją kochać. Malowanie i podróżowanie. Do you understand? I began convincing myself and everyone around me that I loved painting. Wow, thinking about it now, I must have had real acting talent, because even my mom believed so strongly that I loved painting.
I asking questions. Really, I started asking questions to people about them. I was always curious about people and their stories. I always wanted to know what drives a person in life. I loved listening to people talk about themselves and their passions. I liked getting to know people on a deep level. But because I was too much for my dad and he didn't allow me to get to know him as a friend, he simply couldn't handle it and I know now that's okay too. Just no one is ready for children actually. So, you know what? I started asking people on my podcast
Ale tutaj jestem, w końcu mówię prawdę. I przyjechałam do zrozumienia tego, There are things we need to do better. And I have been thinking about strategies I can share with my, you know, audience. Strategies that add value. And one of the key strategies, other difficult word, that have been... What I wanted to say? I stucked. Okay.
To sum up, I want to tell you that identifying the moment when you started to hold back and stopped being brave and authentic often lies in one event. This often builds a false belief about yourself and the world. And for me it turned out that my biggest fear for years was asking people questions and talking to them like on a deeper level actually. My biggest fear turned out to be my passion. What I love to do, specifically having conversations with people who later tell me after the podcast
Thank you for considering my voice important, for showing that my voice actually matters, even though I'm not a celebrity or a star. And this is why I conduct these conversations. And I won't be silenced anymore, because when you realize you give value to someone, The moment you can be there for someone is the most precious. It's absolutely the best thing. And sure anyone can run a podcast, of course, but I'm not talking about trash podcasts, but those that bring value. Where someone feels that they matter,
