#24 Piotr Hołownia – Transformation means the right state of mind
In this podcast, I am talking to Piotr Hołownia, CDO (Country Digital Manager or Chief Digital Officer) in IKEA. My guest originates from a small city in north-eastern Poland and has gained vast professional experience in a variety of industries: from banking and finance to telco and retail, combining business with technology background.
Hello! Welcome to the CC Transformation Podcast. My name is John Guziak and together with my guests we will talk about what is the new dimension of leadership, how to activate digital organizations and lead us and our organizations toward the future of work successfully. How can we truly future-proof our organizations today? Let's start our joint adventure. Let's reimagine the future together.
Work together, collaborate, create things, work on what and then define how with the help of technology people. Not let them just execute what we want from the strategic point of view and so on. And then really work together on common goals.
Piotr Hołownia, IKEA This is the whole journey I think the whole world is today having. But I think this is the correct path. We need to work together and combining the worlds of business and technology working on let's say products or value streams that you have along the organization. This is the key element and to really assign people and the groups of people in the best places that they are able to work. So really we're breaking silos. In order for transformation to take place we have to break those silos even during the process of actually transforming.
Ale musimy zidentyfikować, co to są. Piotr Hołownia, IKEA. I think the transparency and awareness of this situation is the first thing, so that we do not say that we will stabilize it any time. There could be some periods of, let's say, more or less stabilization, but I think this should be open and transparent that we are still changing and the world is going to change. The pandemic showed how we need to change in a very short period of time and how much we need to change, how our style of work, how rapidly,
That it really works, it delivers on time and that you will not lose your money, especially for those people who are a bit afraid of doing that. You will not lose your money somewhere in the digital world. Not remote, not office, but truly hybrid, which is a different way of work. And I'm curious from your perspective now as a leader of the country, what and how, when you think of business transformation or technical transformation, you still have that people side.
Piotr Hołownia. Piotr Hołownia. Challenge for leaders today and all people working in companies to redefine their approach to really meet for a meaningful work at the office and then do some focus time or the online work when they are, let's say, at home or any other location that they prefer to work at.
