This year marks the 30th anniversary of Christchurch's HERITAGE FESTIVAL. It provides an annual platform to share & celebrate us as a community & us within the community. Join the 'Polish Waves' team to learn key aspects of POLISH heritage in Canterbury and wider NZ and also - be introduced to a few interesting festival's events. There is plenty and something interesting for everyone!

We advocate and promote Polish heritage as part of New Zealand ethnic identity and provide forum to present, share and celebrate Polish uniqueness.

And in October, since as a heritage month, we are going to talk about heritage, our Polish heritage in New Zealand, and we are going to talk about Heritage Festival.

Heritage culture can be defined as the legacy of physical artefacts like cultural property and also intangible attributes of a group or society inherited from the past like Polish community or Polish people in New Zealand.

So, here we are in Heritage Month in Christchurch, and obviously, being Polish, of Polish descent, we are going to talk about Polish heritage in New Zealand.
