When in December 2022 some Russian idiot tried to vandalize my car - because he thought the sticker with the letters UK mean Ukraine - he left me a note behind the windscreeen wiper. It said "This is not the place for this car. Go, defend your country!"

About 3 years later his wish came true. The car went to Ukraine - and it did not arrived empty. 

This is the second instalment of the story of my journey.

In the first chapter of this podcast I told you how in the summer of 2025 I got rear-ended by a drunk driver in Poland.

Then we went together for a journey from Helsinki, where I live, through the Baltic states and eastern Poland, where we met my friend Jakub, who lives less than 100 km from the Ukrainian border.

My dad's uncle was a Count Dzieduszycki, which fascinated me as a kid, as aristocratic titles have no meaning in Poland for over a century now.

So if you buy full Europe, it was no good to go to Poland because map ended on the other river.

I'm back in Poland.

My dad was lending me some money in Polish zlotys, so instead of physically exchanging and transferring fundraised euros to Poland, only to then exchange and transfer my own Polish zlotys to Finland, I did a switcheroo, which allowed us to save over 10 euros in exchange and transfer costs.

I once took some stuff for them when I drove an empty van from Helsinki to Poland and I was impressed how well organized they are logistically.
