Citizenship of another country can bring many emotions for any individual. It may create feelings of pride, opportunity, and belonging. At the same time, it can also bring mixed emotions, such as nostalgia, sadness, or a sense of loss for the country of origin, traditions, and family left behind. ‘Polish Waves’ team chatted with a new Polish New Zealander Monika and reflected on various experiences of gaining citizenship of another country.
